Introducing Hungary, Tunisia and Turkey through the eyes of university students focusing on cultural, social, historical, sociological, gastronomic, and other perspectives
The VE project is implemented with the cooperation of three universities: Budapest Business School, University of Applied Sciences, Hungary; University of Sfax, Tunisia and Izmir Democracy University, Turkey. The main objective of the Virtual Exchange project is to provide students with opportunities for intercultural and interactional development through the performance of collaborative intercultural tasks. Further aim of the project is to provide the students with international intercultural experience and to foster mutual understanding, global education, and digital literacy. Moreover, with the implementation of the project, the students' employability skills, including digital competence, collaboration skills, the ability to work in teams, language and communication skills would increase while working in a diverse cultural environment. Special emphasis is put on designing collaborative activities where international students would engage in communication that would allow them to understand things they cannot simply 'find out about' by accessing a website or reading a book, that is students will have to leave the buildings of the universities or their homes to do their tasks.
