İslâm'ın ikinci kaynağı olan hadislerin, günümüze intikalinde sahabe, tabiîn ve etbaû't-tabiînin rolü yadsınamaz. Onların hadisleri ezberleme ve nakletmede gösterdiği titizlik neticesinde hadisler günümüze derli toplu bir şekilde gelmiştir. Etbaû't-tabiînden olup bu rolü üstlenen önemli muhaddislerden biri de Mâlik'in gözde talebesi, Muvatta'ın güvenilir râvisi Ka'nebî'dir. Ka'nebî, yaşadığı dönemde hadis ilminin yanında fıkıh ve tefsir ilmiyle de hemhal olmuş bir âlimdir. Aynı zamanda imam, hâfız güvenilir, örnek bir şahsiyet, şeyhü'l İslâm, müctehid, dindar, züht ehli oluşu ile öne çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada Ka'nebî'nin hadis kültüründeki yeri ele alınmıştır. Ka'nebî Mâlik'in talebesi ve râvisi olması hasebiyle tanınan bir şahsiyettir. Fakat onun şahsiyeti sadece Mâlik'in râvisi olması ile münhasır değildir. Kendisi aynı zamanda dönemin önemli muhaddislerine talebelik yapmış ve onlardan rivayet almıştır. Ayrıca Buhârî, Müslim, Ebû Dâvûd gibi Kütüb-i Sitte'nin muhaddislerine de hocalık yapmış ve onlara hadis rivayetinde bulunmuştur. Ka'nebî ilmi ve ahlâki kişiliği ile de yaşadığı dönemde takdir edilen bir şahsiyettir. Ka'nebî hadis rivayetlerinin günümüze intikalinde önemli bir muhaddis olmasının yanı sıra müstakil bir eseri bulunmamaktadır. Muvatta' rivayetlerinin günümüze gelmesinde önemli bir rol üstlenmiştir. The role of the Companions, tabi'in and etbaû't-tabiîn in the transmission of hadiths, the second source of Islam, to the present day cannot be overstated. As a result of their meticulousness in memorizing and transmitting the hadiths, the hadiths have come down to the present day in an organized manner. One of the important muhaddithis from theetbaû't-tabiîn who assumed this role was Ka'nebî, Mâlik's favorite student and the reliable narrator of Muwatta'. Ka'nebî was a scholar who was involved in fiqh and tafsir in addition to the science of hadith. Ka'nebî was also an imam, a reliable hafiz, an example, a shaykh al-Islam, a mujtahid in worship, a pious person, and a person of asceticism. This study focuses on the place of Ka'nebî in hadith culture. Ka'nebî is a well-known figure because he was Mâlik's student and narrator. However, his personality is not limited to being Mâlik's narrator. He was also a student of and received narrations from important muhaddithis of the period. He also taught and narrated hadiths to the muhaddiths of the Kutup el-Sitte, such as Bukhari, Muslim, and Abu Dawud. Ka'nebî was also an admired figure in his time for his knowledge and moral character. In addition to being an important muhaddith in the transmission of hadith narrations to the present day, Ka'nebî has played an important role in the transmission of Muwatta' narrations to the present day, although he does not have a detached work.
