Pyralidae ve Crambidae familyalarından oluşan Pyraloidea üst familyası Lepidoptera takımı içerisinde yer alan önemli gruplardan bir tanesi olup, yeryüzünde geniş bir yayılış göstermektedir. Bu grup içerisinde yer alan türler diğer lepidopter türlerinde olduğu gibi holometabol bir yaşam döngüsüne sahiptir. Bu nedenle pyraloidlerde de yumurta, larva, pupa ve ergin dönemleri görülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın konusunu Eğil ilçesinin Pyraloidea faunası oluşturmaktadır. Arazi çalışmaları 2018- 2022 yılları arasında Nisan-Ekim ayları içerisinde yürütülmüştür. Bu grupta yer alan türler çoğunlukla gece aktif olduğu için ışık tuzağı yardımıyla toplanmıştır. Toplanan örneklerin teşhis işlemleri sonucunda 96'sı tür düzeyinde olmak üzere toplam 100 takson tespit edilmiştir. Bu türlerin tümü Eğil ilçesi için yeni faunistik kayıt oluştururken, 79 tür ise Diyarbakır ili için yeni kayıttır.
The Pyraloidea superfamily, which consists of the Pyralidae and Crambidae families, is one of the important groups in the Lepidoptera order and has a wide distribution on the earth. Species in this group have a holometabolic life cycle, as in other lepidopteran species. For this reason, egg, larva, pupa and adult stages are also seen in pyraloids. The subject of this study is the Pyraloidea fauna of Eğil district. Field studies were carried out in April-October between 2018-2022. Since the species in this group are mostly active at night, they were collected with the help of light traps. As a result of the identification processes of the collected samples, a total of 100 taxa were identified, 96 of which were at the species level. While all of these species constitute new faunistic records for Eğil district, 79 species are new records for Diyarbakır province.
