Bu çalışmada, sıra istatistiklerine dayandırılan istatistiklerin geometrik dağılımdaki örnek minimumunun momentleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde giriş verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde bazı temel kavramlar, teoremler ve özellikler verimiştir. Ayrıca sıra istatistiklerinin dağılımları için daha önce yapılan çalışmalar verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde geometrik dağılımdaki sıra istatistiklerinin örnek minimumun bazı üreten fonksiyonları; moment üreten fonksiyon, olasılık(çarpımsal moment) üreten fonksiyon ve karakteristik fonksiyon yardımıyla momentler elde edilmiştir. Bu momentler kullanılarak beklenen değer ve varyans cebirsel olarak elde edildi. Ek olarak, geometrik dağılımdaki sıra istatistiklerin örnek minimumunun beklenen değerleri ve varyansları sayısal olarak hesaplanmış ve bir tablo halinde verilmiştir. Son bölümde ise bu çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar ve yapılabilecek çalışmalar tartışılmıştır.
In this study, on the moments of sample minimum from geometric distribution of statistics based on order statistics are considered. There are four chapters of the study. In the first chapter is given an introduction. In the second chapter some basic concepts, theorems and properties are given. In addition previous studies for distributions of order statistics are given. In the third chapter, the moments of the sample minimum of order statistics from geometric distribution are obtained with the help of some generating functions; moment genarating functions, probability(factorial moment) generating function and charactistic function. The expected value and variance were obtained algebraically by using these moments. Additionally, expected values and variance of the sample minimum of order statistics from geometric distribution are calculated numerically and they are given in a tablo. In the final chapter, a discussion of results are summarized and some futher research topics are proposed.
